Biography

I am a board-certified physician associate with a specialty certification in psychiatry. I've always been fascinated by people and the way our minds work. After spending 15 years in family medicine, I saw firsthand how deeply mental health affects every aspect of a person’s life—physical health, relationships, work and personal goals. That experience led me to pursue a specialty in psychiatry, and now I focus solely on mental health care as a prescriber at the 博彩网站 Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic. I also help train future physician associates by overseeing and mentoring students in their behavioral health rotations at the 博彩网站 PA program.

I believe in clear, open communication and a trauma-informed approach to care. I aim to build a trusting and supportive partnership where you feel heard, respected and empowered to take an active role in your mental health. I strive to help patients make meaningful lifestyle changes, challenge unhelpful thought patterns and better understand their diagnoses and treatment options. I welcome and value people of all backgrounds, including all ethnicities, races, languages, religions, abilities, sexual orientations and cultures.

I earned my Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from 博彩网站 in 2007. Before joining 博彩网站 in 2022, I worked in primary care at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho in Boise (2007-2009) and Mid-Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles (2009-2022).

Outside of work, I love exploring the Columbia River Gorge with my partner, our two kids and our furry family member. Before having kids, I was an avid rock climber on the East Coast, a Ski Patroller in Idaho and a blocker for the Gorge Roller Derby team. These days, I enjoy hiking, gardening, and making lasting memories with family and friends.
