Kim Hoffman, Ph.D.

Biography

Kim Hoffman, PhD, has more than 20 years of experience conducting rigorous academic research and program evaluation in diverse settings throughout the world. Her work focuses on substance use disorder, health services, organizational improvement, capacity development, public health, and community-based health programs.  Dr. Hoffman is an investigator with the National Institute on Drug Abuse Clinical Trials Network and leads the qualitative component of numerous studies. Dr. Hoffman is a Fulbright Scholar and has received funding as a Principal Investigator from the US National Institutes of Health, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the Faster Forward Foundation. International work has involved research with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Peru's National Institutes of Health and Ministry of Health, the US Department of Defense (NAMRU-6) and other institutions. She has published numerous academic papers, technical reports, book chapters, and a book on poverty and health.
