Biography
My primary research interest is bone health in the context of metabolic and/or immunologic challenge in various non-human primate (NHP) models. I study the skeletal consequences of 1) diet-induced obesity and weight loss interventions such as pharmaceuticals or bariatric surgery 2) aging and menopause with hormone replacement therapy 3) infectious diseases such as COVID or SIV/HIV with subsequent antiretroviral therapy.
