Michaela Russo, B.A. (she/her)

Biography

Michaela Russo joins CEDAR as a Graduate Researcher in the Program for Biomedical Science after working for two years as a Research Associate in the Human ID & Forensics group at QIAGEN where she assisted in the development of solutions for the identification of victims of mass casualties. She received her B.A. in Biological Sciences from Mount Holyoke College in 2022. At CEDAR she will focus on uncovering the cellular mechanisms that coordinate histone synthesis and DNA replication and their role in maintaining the stability of the genome and epigenome. Outside of work, Michaela enjoys hiking, exploring the city, knitting, and reading and she is excited to dive into her graduate research at CEDAR.
