Biography

I am an associate professor of psychiatry and the Associate Director of the Division of Psychology and the Resident and Faculty Wellness Program. I am also a clinical neuropsychologist who provides evaluations in the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic. I provide individual psychotherapy through the 博彩网站 Resident and Faculty Wellness Program and serve on 博彩网站 Wellness Consults for Leaders and Teams.

I am a core faculty member in the 博彩网站 Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Program, where I teach courses in Ethics and Multicultural Considerations. I also co-instruct a course related to “Human Health and Climate Change” in the interprofessional education program at 博彩网站.

I grew up in Portland, earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon, a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Michigan School of Medicine.

I returned to Portland to join the 博彩网站 faculty in 2011 and joined the RFWP team in 2021. I have also been active in disaster mental health preparedness and response and sustainability efforts at 博彩网站, regionally and nationally. I value acknowledging and addressing normal, healthy stress responses and using a multicultural, existential lens to identify and navigate challenges and other experiences.
