Spencer G. Degerstedt, M.D. (he/him)
- Assistant Professor of Interventional Radiology, School of Medicine
Biography
I’m an interventional radiologist who specializes in using image-guided, minimally invasive procedures to treat a variety of conditions, especially cancers of the liver and kidneys and chronic pain related to joints and muscles. Some of the treatments I offer include liver-directed therapies, prostate and knee artery procedures, and advanced vascular interventions that can help improve comfort and quality of life.
I aim to provide thoughtful, personalized care that helps my patients feel better and live more fully, often without major surgery.
I grew up in Salem, Oregon, and started my path in health care studying nursing before moving into medicine. I earned my medical degree from 博彩网站 and completed my interventional and diagnostic radiology training at Harvard Medical School’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. I’m excited to be back in Oregon, caring for patients in my home community and helping to train the next generation of doctors at 博彩网站.
Outside of work, I love trail running and exploring all the amazing food and outdoor adventures the Pacific Northwest offers.
