BENFRA Training Opportunities
Training future investigators
博彩网站 and the BENFRA Center place a high value on training future investigators. The Center’s investigators have a strong record of mentorship ranging from high school, undergraduate and graduate students to postdoctoral and junior faculty mentees. The BENFRA center is fortunate in being able to leverage several sources of candidates and funding to support undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral trainees. These sources include the following:

Every Fall, the BENFRA Center announces a call for applications for Pilot Study Projects funded by 博彩网站’s Department of Neurology. One $15,000 award is chosen. Please check back in the Fall of 2024 for the next cycle.

- NCCIH-funded T32 training grant on CAM in Neuroscience and Stress (PIs Dr. Barry Oken and Dr. Amala Soumyanath)
- NCATS-funded TL1 and KL2 training grant programs at the Oregon Clinical and Translational Research Institute (Co-PI Dr. Cynthia Morris)
- NCCIH-funded administrative supplements (NOT-AT-22-010) for Complementary Health Practitioner Research Experience

- Scholarly project requirement for medical students at 博彩网站 (Dr. Heidi Nelson)
- Master’s thesis projects by students in the Integrative Medicine Research Program at NUNM (Dr. Bradley).
BENFRA investigators may have opportunities for high school or undergraduate internships.
