Resident and Student Rotations
The Medical Toxicology rotation is open to medical students, residents, and fellows from all specialties. This rotation provides comprehensive education in the core principles of Medical Toxicology through hands on clinical experience, case based discussions, and didactic learning.
Each morning, rotators will meet at the 博彩网站 Poison Center before rounding on inpatient toxicology consults at 博彩网站 and DCH with the toxicology fellows and faculty. Following consultations, the team gathers in the conference room to review active Poison Center cases and discuss key topics in medical toxicology. Learners are expected to understand the details of various toxins and medications, including their classifications, indications, clinical effects, and treatment modalities.
Afternoons feature a range of educational activities including a bimonthly virtual multi state toxicology case conference, journal club, and faculty led didactics. Medical students will also prepare and present a toxicologic disaster topic on Friday afternoons.
Interested rotators are encouraged to inquire about mentorship, research opportunities, and public health outreach initiatives.
