• 2002: Motoharu Fukushi, M.D., visited 博彩网站. JADECOM accepted 博彩网站 FM resident, Rebecca Kennedy, for three-week rotation in June. Dr. Taylor visited Japan and gave a presentation in August. 博彩网站 FM resident Andrew Mendenhall had a three-week rotation at JADECOM in December.
• 2003: In July, JADECOM accepted 博彩网站 FM resident, Jennifer DeVoe, M.D., D.Phil, 博彩网站 Family Medicine Chair, for a two-week rotation in Japan. In August, Dr. Taylor, and Former Vice Dean, Anita Taylor, visited Japan and gave presentations. Junji Kinoshita, M.D., and Shigeki Funakoshi, M.D., visited 博彩网站 in December.
• 2004, In July, Ted Chaplain, 博彩网站 FM resident, had JADECOM rotation for two weeks. In August, Dr. Taylor, and Former Vice Dean, Anita Taylor, visited Japan again and gave presentations. In October, FM resident, Jennifer Vine, had two-week rotation at JADECOM. In November, Osamu Murobayashi, M.D. and Takaaki Suzuki, M.D., had four-week rotation at 博彩网站.

• 2006: In February, JADECOM sent Sen Otomo, M.D., and Hiroki Yoneda, M.D., to 博彩网站. In July, David Adler, M.D., from 博彩网站 visited Japan and had site visits and gave lecture at JADECOM facilities.
• 2007; In February, Drs. Yamada and Yoshimura visited 博彩网站 again. In November 博彩网站 FM resident, Subramaniam Seetharaman, had a tree-week rotation at JADECOM facilities. In October, JADECOM sent their resident Masahisa Amano to 博彩网站 for three months.
• 2008: In March, JADECOM-博彩网站 training agreement was set. In April, JADECOM sent their resident Koji Matsushita to 博彩网站 for a three-month rotation. In July, former JADECOM program leading doctor, Meg Hayes, M.D., associate professor, visited Japan and had site visits and gave lectures at JADECOM facilities. In December, CEO Michiyasu Yoshiara, M.D., Takashi Yamada, M.D., Executive Director, Hiroaki Koike, M.D., Junji Kinoshita, M.D., and Yasushi Fujirai, M.D., visited 博彩网站.
• 2009: JADECOM resident, Maiko Kakinuma, had an 博彩网站 rotation between April – June, another resident, Manabu Kamio, had a rotation from July – September.

• 2010: The 博彩网站 – JADECOM contract was signed and the JADECOM exchange program became official. In July, JADECOM residents, Makiko Miura and Tomoyuki Maeda, came to 博彩网站 for a three-month rotation. In August, Meg Hayes, M.D., had site visits and gave lectures at JADECOM facilities. In September, seven JADECOM leaders, Drs. Yoshiara, Yamada, Koike, Kinoshita, Fujirai and other two, visited 博彩网站 for a week. JADECOM residents Tsubasa & Hiroko Nozawa came to 博彩网站 for three-month training in October. In November, Robert Ross, M.D., former Cascades East residency director, and Robert Law, M.D. had site visits and gave lectures at JADCOM facilities.
• 2011: In January, JADECOM resident, Takenori Hibino, came to 博彩网站 for a three-month rotation, and Yuji Ito, M.D., visited 博彩网站. Seven JADECOM leaders visited 博彩网站. JADECOM made a $10,000 donation for naming the medical director room at the 博彩网站 Family Medicine South Waterfront Clinic the “Sakura Room.” In April, Dr. Daisuke Yamashita traveled to Onagawa, Japan to help JADECOM Onagawa Hospital after the Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami. In April, the JADECOM student program began with eight medical students from Japan had two-week rotations at 博彩网站. July – September, JADECOM resident, Hirofumi Namiki, had an 博彩网站 rotation.
• 2012: In February, JADECOM donated $10,000 for the naming at the 博彩网站 Family Medicine Scappoose Clinic the “Fuji Room”. In March, nine JADECOM leaders visited 博彩网站. In April, Scott Fields, M.D., former vice-chair, visited JADECOM, had site visits and gave lectures and exchange the commemorative plaques for 10^th anniversary of our partnership. In June, Dr. Meg Hayes and Dr. Sean Robinson, 博彩网站 resident, at the time, visited Japan. And in the same month, Dr. Atsushi Takayama, Japanese resident from Yamaguchi, Japan had a one-week clinical observation at 博彩网站. In July Dr. Ayako Okano had a three-month rotation at 博彩网站. In August, Dr. Eishu Nango, JADECOM faculty, had an 博彩网站 rotation. In fall, JADECOM delegation, Drs. Yoshiara, Yamada, Orimo and Ota, and Mr. Omura, visited 博彩网站. Dr. Ota extended stay and had site visits in Klamath Falls. In October, JADECOM resident, Yoshitaka Hamada, had a three-month rotation at 博彩网站, and Bruin Rugge, M.D., current vice chair of clinical operations, and Ben Cox, visited Higashidori Community Medical Center in Aomori, and then visited Onagawa Hospital where the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami hit. In November, Dr. Robert Taylor and Anita Taylor visited Gifu University and Nishi-agatsuma Welfare Hospital. 14 medical students had two-week rotations at 博彩网站.
• 2013: In January, three physicians from Yamaguchi, Japan, Drs. Masanori Harada, Ryota Sato and Kazuo Nakayasu, had rural site visits, and Drs. Sato and Nakayasu had a one-week clinical observations at 博彩网站. Dr. Sachiko Fukumi from Yokosuka Uwamachi Hospital had a three-month rotation at 博彩网站 starting from January. In July, Dr. Meg Hayes and Ben Cox visited Gifu University. In July, JADECOM resident, Dr. Haruko Yokoyama, came to 博彩网站 for a three-month rotation. In August, Dr. Shuichi Yokota had one-month rotation and Dr. Yoshinori Suzuki had one-month rotation in September. In October, JADECOM residents, Akiko Kusumoto, had one-month rotation and Takuji Shirabe had a three-month rotation at 博彩网站, and they also went to Klamath Falls to participate in the ALSO class Dr. Meg Hayes lead there. 13 medical students had two-week 博彩网站 rotations. In October, former chair, Dr. John Saultz, Dr. Roger Garvin, Dr. Daisuke Yamashita, STFM Executive Director Stacy Brungardt, 博彩网站 resident Eric Chen and medical student Wes Baker attended JADECOM Generalist Forum and had site visits.
• 2014: In June, JADECOM resident Sayo Hotta had one-month rotation at 博彩网站. In July, Dr. Keigo Koizumi came to 博彩网站 to participate in JADECOM faculty program and had rotation for 2.5 months. From mid-August through mid-September, JADECOM faculty, Dr. Tetsuo Kato, had clinical observations with us. In September, 博彩网站 resident Erica Pettigrew had a two-week 博彩网站 rotation and at the same time, Fran Biagioli, M.D. and Ben Cox visited Japan to give lectures and have site visits. In October, JADECOM faculty, Hiroshi Nagasaka, M.D., had a one-month rotation and JADECOM resident Akihiko Yonenaga had one-month rotation from October – December. 博彩网站 Family Medicine hosted 11 Japanese medical students for two-week rotations this year.
• 2015: JADECOM resident, Kenji Iida, had a one-month rotation at 博彩网站 in March. 博彩网站 medical student, Hans Han, had a JADECOM rotation in Japan in April. In June, Dr. Steve Wahls and Ben Cox visited Japan, gave lectures and visited JADECOM community hospital/clinic. Dr. Yuji Ito, who leads OB/GYN care in JADECOM, visited 博彩网站 in August. In September 博彩网站 resident, Jade Koide, had two-week rotation at JADECOM facilities in Japan. In October JADECOM leaders, Drs. Yoshiara, Yamada, Umeya and Tamai, and Mr. Makuta, visited 博彩网站. 博彩网站 Family Medicine hosted 14 Japanese medical students this year.
• 2016: in January, Dr. Manabu Yoshimura, professor and former JADECOM faculty, and Dr. Taku Miura from University of Miyazaki visited 博彩网站. In June, Drs, John Saultz, Scott Fields, Meg Hayes and Daisuke Yamashita, Ben Cox and Chi Naruse visited Japan for the JADECOM 30^th anniversary and attended the 7^th Japan Primary Care Association Annual Conference under president Dr. Takashi Yamada and held in Asakusa, Tokyo. Dr. Saultz presented at the conference. 博彩网站 residents, Carl Rasmussen, and Anthony Cheng also attended, and they extended their stays to have a two-week rotation at JADECOM facilities. In August, Japanese resident, Hiroko Yamada, came through the JADECOM program and completed a one-month rotation at 博彩网站. In October, the first External Advisory Committee Meeting was held at 博彩网站 and JADECOM leaders, Drs. Yoshiara, Yamada, Fujiwara and Nishimura, and Mr. Makuta, also flew to Enterprise, OR, with Megan McGhean,  FM Department Administrator, and Ben Cox for a site visit. In the same month, Dr. Yosuke Inoue, JADECOM resident director, visited Klamath Falls, Dr. Kai Yokota from Yamaguchi had two-week rotation at 博彩网站. 博彩网站 Family Medicine received 11 Japanese medical students from JADECOM for two-week rotations at 博彩网站.
• 2017: In May, 博彩网站 residents, Alison Herson, and Matthew Chan, had a two-week rotation in Japan. In May, Dr. Masahiro Nishimura, and in June, Takeshi Takahashi, visited 博彩网站 for two-week rotations for JADECOM faculty program. In June, Dr. Jen DeVoe, Dr. Hans Han, and Ben Cox, visited Japan. In July and August, JADECOM resident, Myonge Oh visited 博彩网站. In October, JADECOM visiting research fellowship. began  with Dr. Takahiro Mochizuki, as the first fellow. The program runs for two years. Also, the first 博彩网站 Tour Group of JADECOM faculty and members visited 博彩网站 and had a rural site visit in Klamath Falls. 博彩网站 resident, Jason Kroening-Roche, had a two-week rotation in Japan. In October, the External Advisory Committee Meeting was held at 博彩网站. 博彩网站 Family Medicine hosted JADECOM resident, Hiroto Inoue, at 博彩网站 in October and November. In December, JADECOM faculty, Yuta Suganami, visited for two weeks. 博彩网站 Family Medicine hosted 14 Japanese medical students this year for two-week rotations.
• 2018: In February, 博彩网站 Family Medicine hosted Dr. Wataru Sasaki through the JADECOM faculty program for two weeks. In April, JADECOM faculty, Dr. Naoki Fujiwara, visited 博彩网站. In May, Dr. Shintaro Kosaka, visited through JADECOM faculty program. JADECOM resident, Koichiro Matsumoto, had a one-month rotation at JADECOM in June. In the same month, Dr. Robert Tayler and Anita Tayler, Daisuke Yamashita, and Cascades East resident, Nick West, visited Japan. In July – August, 博彩网站 Family Medicine hosted JADECOM resident, Takashi Kodama, at 博彩网站. In August, a tour group from JADECOM came to 博彩网站 and had a site visit in Enterprise. In September, 博彩网站 resident Lisa Kipersztok had a two-week rotation at JADECOM. In October, Cascades East Residency Director, Joyce Hollander-Rodriguez, M.D., and Ben Cox, gave lectures and had site visits in Japan. We had an External Advisory Committee Meeting in October and on October 8, the JADECOM endowment ceremony was held to honor Dr. Daisuke Yamashita becaming the endowment scholar. JADECOM president, Fumimaro Takaku, M.D., and JADECOM CEO, Michiyasu Yoshiara, M.D., visited from Japan and gave the congratulatory speech at this special event. 博彩网站 Family Medicine hosted 16 Japanese medical students from JADECOM this year.
• 2019: in March, the first JADECOM research fellow, Dr. Takahiro Mochizuki, received his first grant for Advanced Care Planning research project from the Sasagawa Memorial Health Foundation. In May, 博彩网站 Family Medicine had the first NP visit, Nanako Tsukui, had a two-week rotation at 博彩网站, and Cascades East resident, Dallas Swanson, had 博彩网站 rotation in Japan. In June, a tour group from JADECOM visited 博彩网站 and Enterprise, OR. In July, Dr. Elizabeth Powers and Nic Powers from Enterprise, OR, and Ben Cox, visited Japan. In August, the second visiting research fellow, Dr. Masahiro Nishimura, started his two-year program at 博彩网站. In October, JADECOM leadership team,Drs. Michiyasu Yoshiara, Takashi Yamada, Yasushi Fujirai, Yosuke Inoue and Hidenori Uda, and Mr. Makuta, visited 博彩网站 for an External Advisory Committee Meeting. In October – November, JADECOM resident, Jo Miyana, had an 博彩网站 rotation. Dr. Anna Tamai, the exchange program director, visited 博彩网站. 17 Japanese medical students from JADECOM came for two-week 博彩网站 rotations.

• 2020: In February, JADECOM resident, Eiji Kawasaki, visited 博彩网站 for a four-week rotation . 博彩网站 resident, Stuart Zeltzer, went to Japan and had a two-week rotation at JADECOM facilities. 博彩网站 Family Medicine had five Japanese medical students. In mid-March, the exchange program was suspended due to COVID-19. However, JADECOM visiting research fellow, Dr. Masahiro Nishimura, continued his research project at 博彩网站 from home. In November, there was a virtual External Advisory Committee Meeting with JADECOM leaders. JADECOM medical student, Derek Wiseman, participated in an online JPCA conference.
• 2021: In December, there was another virtual External Advisory Committee Meeting with JADECOM leaders. Dr. Masahiro Nishimura, JADECOM visiting research fellow, completed his project at 博彩网站 and returned to Japan.
• 2022:In September, Dr. Wataru Sasaki came to 博彩网站 as the next JADECOM visiting research fellow and started his one-year program. In November, Cascades East resident, Cole Puffer, had a two-week rotation in Japan.
• 2023: In January, the next virtual External Advisory Committee Meeting with JADECOM leaders occurred. In May, Deb Cohen, PhD, vice chair of research and Daisuke Yamashita, M.D., visited Japan, gave presentations, and had site visits. At the same time, 博彩网站 residents, Brooke Bachler, and Ryan Nesbit Deane, had two-week rotations in Japan. In June, 博彩网站 resident, Lindsay Thimmig, had a two-week rotation at JADECOM facilities and Megan McGhean, Family Medicine Department Administrator, and Ben Cox gave presentations and had site visits. In July and August, JADECOM faculty, Genki Oyama, had an 博彩网站 rotation. He was the first doctor from JADECOM who visited for a clinical observation post-COVID. In September, Dr. Wataru Sasaki completed his one-year research program at 博彩网站 and returned to Japan, and Cascades East resident, Derek Wiseman visited Japan for a two-week rotation. New fellow, Dr. Hiroto Inoue, started at 博彩网站 in October. Japanese junior resident, Yuri Terunuma, had a one-week rotation at 博彩网站 in October. In November, JADECOM leaders visited 博彩网站 for an External Advisory Committee Meeting and had a site visit in Madras. In the same month, Japanese junior resident Tomoki Maruyama arrived for a one-week 博彩网站 rotation. In December, 博彩网站 resident, Tiantian White, visited Japan for her two-week JADECOM rotation. In December – January, 博彩网站 hosted JADECOM resident, Yuri Yoshimura. She was the first JADECOM resident to have a rotation in Madras.
• 2024: In January, JADECOM resident, Sakiko Omura, had a three-week rotation at 博彩网站. In February, Dr. Robert Jackman from Cascades East went to Japan to give his presentation and had rural site visits. In February – March, JADECOM faculty, Mami Kondo, had an eight-week rotation at 博彩网站. In April, Japanese junior resident, Chihiro Tsusu, had a one-week rotation at 博彩网站. In late May – early June, Hillsboro resident, Dione Fernandez, had 博彩网站 rotation in Japan. She was the first one to have the rotation from the Hillsboro Residency Program. In June, 博彩网站 resident, Eric Ardman, had a two-week rotation in Japan. They participated in the Japan Primary Care Association (JPCA) Annual Conference with Dr. Daisuke Yamashita. Dr. Yamashita also had site visits at JADECOM facilities and meeting with JADECOM leaders. Later in June, Dr. Jinnell Lewis, the Three Sisters Residency Director, visited Japan, gave a presentation, and had site visits at JADECOM facilities. In July, JADECOM resident, Ayaka Tokuda, had one-month rotation and JADECOM junior faculty, Shotaro Kawabata, had two-month faculty in September and October. 博彩网站 Residency Director, Joe Skariah, DO, attended a JADECOM residency meeting in Kansai area, and 博彩网站 resident, Shayma Waldbaum, had a two-week rotation at JADECOM.
