Staying with patients overnight

In some cases, visitors may stay in the room with hospital patients overnight. Contact the patient’s care team to plan your stay.  

  • Adult patients may have one overnight visitor.  
  • Child patients may have two overnight visitors.  

Supporting patients who need help

  • Surgical and other procedures: Patients need an adult support person to help with discharge and getting home after their procedure.  

  • Patients with disabilities: Patients can list three support people and have one support person with them in the hospital to help with their care. Read the full policy.
