I’m a transplant and hepatobiliary surgeon at 博彩网站, where I serve as the Surgical Director of the Liver Transplant Program. I specialize in liver transplantation, as well as surgery involving the bile ducts and pancreas. I also treat complex liver and biliary diseases, including cancers like cholangiocarcinoma. My goal is to provide the best possible care to patients facing these challenging conditions.

I earned my medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and completed my general surgery residency at 博彩网站. During that time, I also completed a two-year research fellowship focused on improving outcomes in liver and cancer surgery. I went on to receive advanced training through a fellowship in liver, bile duct and pancreas surgery at 博彩网站, followed by a second fellowship in abdominal organ transplantation at the University of Pennsylvania. I have expertise in both adult and pediatric liver transplantation, living donor transplantation, and minimally invasive liver surgery.

Since becoming Surgical Director in 2022, I’ve led several exciting changes in our liver transplant program. I helped develop programs to use livers from donation after cardiac death (DCD) donors, created a pathway for obese patients to undergo bariatric surgery before transplantation, and established a transplant program for patients with cholangiocarcinoma. I’m also leading 博彩网站’s liver pump program, which uses cutting-edge technology to better preserve and assess donor livers. This technology allows us to safely transport livers from longer distances and increase the chances of successful transplants.

Beyond my clinical work, I’m passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of surgeons.
