How to join a MyChart Virtual Visit using your computer, tablet or smartphone
MyChart Virtual Visits are a safe, convenient way to connect with an 博彩网站 health care provider from home.
Here’s what you need for a video visit
Video visit hardware
- Apple or Android smartphone or tablet, or a computer with a working camera (video) and microphone (audio)
- Make sure you allow your browser access to your camera and microphone.
- To adjust volume, increase or decrease settings on your device.
- Use headphones with a microphone to provide the best sound quality.
Strong internet connection
- Connect with Wi-Fi, an Ethernet cable or cellular data
- Aim for a minimum upload speed of 3.0 Mbps and download speed 2.0 Mbps. Run a speedtest to check.
- Turn off other devices and close browser tabs and apps to improve connection quality. If your connection is slow or unstable, a wired connection (like an Ethernet cable) may work better.

MyChart account
- If you don’t have a MyChart account, visit MyChart to sign up.

Two-step verification in MyChart
Quiet, well-lit space
- Make sure your provider can hear and see you.
Before your video visit: PreCheck-In
Up to seven days before your visit, go to MyChart and complete PreCheck-In.
- Sign in to MyChart using a web browser or the MyChart app and complete two-step verification.
- Use a recommended browser: Chrome, Safari or Edge.
- From your health feed, find your Virtual Visit.
- Click the PreCheck-In button and answer questions about your medical history, medications and more.

Day of your video visit: Sign in to join
Sign in to MyChart 15 minutes before your virtual appointment starts
- If you haven’t completed PreCheck-In, do that now.
- If you’d like to invite a guest to join your visit who does not have proxy access, email them the link.
- In Appointment Details, click “Invite a new guest.”
- Fill in the person’s contact information. Your guest may join the call up to 15 min before your visit start time.
- 15 minutes before your visit, the “Join video visit” button turns blue, letting you know it is time to begin.
- If it does not turn blue within 5-mins of your scheduled visit time, refresh your browser.
Click the “Join video visit” button when you’re ready
Complete the hardware test
- Follow prompts to make sure your browser has permission to access your microphone and camera, and they are working.
Click the “Join Call” button once your microphone and camera are ready
- You’ll enter a virtual waiting room until your health care provider starts the visit.
- If you asked the clinic for an interpreter your provider will invite them to join once you are connected.

How to turn off pop-up blockers
Follow these steps to allow pop-ups during your video visit.
Chrome for Mac and PC
- If a pop-up is blocked, you will see a “Pop-up blocked” icon to the right of your address bar (it will have a red “x”) in your browser window.
- Click the icon.
- Select “Always allow pop-ups from this site”
Chrome for Android
- Tap on the three dots on the top far right of your screen.
- Tap on “Settings” then “Site settings”
- Tap on “Pop-ups and redirects” then tap the toggle so that it is blue instead of grey.
Microsoft Edge
- Click the three dots on the top far right of your screen.
- Select “Settings”.
- Select “Cookies and site permissions”.
- Click “Pop-ups and redirects”.
- To the right of “Block (recommended),” slide the setting to Off.
Safari for Mac
- In the top left of your screen, click “Safari”.
- Select “Preferences” then click “Websites”
- Click “Pop-up Windows”
- Where it says "When visiting other websites:," there will be a dropdown menu with two blue arrows. Click on it.
- Here you can select "Allow" and it will automatically save this setting.
Safari for iOS
- Launch Settings.
- Tap Safari.
- Under the General section, click the toggle next to Block Pop-ups to disable the pop-up blocker. A green toggle indicates an enabled pop-up blocker.
